The Living Room is a charity which uses church buildings to provide a safe, warm overnight space for rough sleepers over the winter months.

Between the months of November and April,  three churches in the Great Yarmouth borough open up their doors over the weekend so that those who would normally be out on the streets can come in for a hot meal, company and a warm bed.

If you would like to speak to our Project Co-ordinator or complete a referral, Jo is in Great Yarmouth Library every Friday between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m.

Volunteering at The Living Room

At The Living Room we rely on volunteers to be able to keep running. We need people who are willing to help us in a variety of ways, from covering shifts (you don’t necessarily have to stay overnight) to cooking, to washing bedding to transporting.
